Clear direction. Confident execution.
Every strong piece of creative starts long before the first design. It starts with listening. I learn what the client wants, what they don’t, and what will make their audience feel something. Then I build a direction everyone can see and agree on, before a single pixel is placed.
That’s the part of the process I love most. Clear direction makes execution faster and stronger, and it makes the final work feel intentional.
A new creative identity. A familiar process. A new creative partner: AI.
After years of helping clients clarify their stories and bring creative ideas to life, it was time to turn that same thinking toward my own new consulting practice.
The positioning was clear: Creative thought partner. Hands-on execution. Or a little of both.
The challenge was translating that idea into a visual identity that felt creative, warm and a little unexpected. Credible enough for strategy work, distinctive enough to stand apart, and understated enough to let the work in my portfolio take center stage.
From creative brief to creative system.
I approached the project the way I approach client work: Clarify. Connect. Create.
This time, AI became part of the creative process. I developed the brief, established the direction and used AI to explore color palettes, visual concepts and design alternatives more efficiently. It helped me to consider more possibilities, but the creative decisions remained mine.
Making the pieces work together.
Creative direction is about more than choosing what looks good. It's knowing what works, understanding why and recognizing when something isn't quite there yet.
That human perspective guided every decision. I evaluated each direction against my original brief. I refined color, typography, scale and composition until the individual elements worked together as a cohesive system.
The result: One cohesive creative identity that tells my story at a glance.
The finished system connects my website and LinkedIn presence through a consistent visual language. Each element reinforces the same idea: individual pieces, thoughtfully connected, brought together into something whole.
The tools may be new, but the approach is familiar. Start with a clear direction. Explore with intention. Make thoughtful decisions. Then stay close enough to the work to get every detail right.

Clear direction. Thoughtful decisions. Hands-on execution.
Every destination started with an idea.
Each year, the Cox Communications Winner’s Circle program moved to a new resort destination. Before design began, I developed creative concept proposals for each location, including the Bahamas, Maui and Marco Island.
Every concept drew its inspiration from the destination itself. Colors pulled from resort photography. Textures and patterns borrowed from the resort’s architecture. Metallic accents for promotional pieces. Imagery that captured each location, from the turquoise waters of Baha Mar to the shell beaches of Marco Island.
The proposals gave the client a clear picture of where each program was headed. They could react, refine and approve the direction early, setting the stage for everything that followed.
